OVERVIEW

Marine Science/Oceanography focuses on the study of oceans and marine life. It can include investigating the behavior of marine species, or environmental conditions and diseases that impact marine life and the oceans. It is an interdisciplinary field requiring training in many basic sciences, including chemistry, geology, meteorology and biology.

Academic Programs

Olympic College offers a variety of biological, environmental, chemistry, geology and Earth science courses that you can take as distribution requirements and electives towards your degree. We offer two options: Associate in Arts - Direct Transfer Agreement (AA-DTA): Marine Science/Oceanography; and Associate in Science - Track 1 (AS-Transfer, Track 1): Marine Science/Oceanography.
