Participating programs, departments, or clubs may include:
Access Services: Access Services coordinates accommodations for students with disabilities and partners with the Olympic College community to foster a college culture that recognizes disability as a valued aspect of diversity and is dedicated to the inclusion and full participation of students with disabilities in all college programs, services, and activities.
Advising: Advising is great resource on campus to help students figure out their pathway to success and certificate and degree completion. Students are required to complete an academic plan by 45 credits. Advisors in the Advising Center can help students start their My Academic Plan (MAP) and connect with a faculty advisor in their field of study.
Career Center: We offer workshops for students and classroom presentations for faculty. We provide a wide range of career, internship and employment planning services that assist students in developing self-directed job search skills. We are faculty, staff, and employers collaborating to support student success. We are the OC…Career Center!
Counseling: Counseling Services is dedicated to promoting the health and well-being of students by recognizing their individuality, diversity and inherent ability to manage everyday challenges and achieve life goals.
International: The Office of International Education and Study Abroad offers comprehensive support for students coming from other countries to study at OC and for American students who wish to study abroad. Throughout the year, we host several cultural based activities and programming. We have students from over 20 different countries studying at OC on an F-1 student visa and offer over 10 different study abroad opportunities. We even offer 3 international pathway programs to earn a bachelor’s degree: Canada, Japan, and England.
International Club: The International Club exists to encourage new relationships between OC students regardless where they come from. The goal is to give them the opportunity to interact with their culture, and introduce their traditions to other students. Our ultimate mission is to welcome and support international students in their cultural and educational transition to college.
Library: OC Libraries offers events each quarter (therapy dogs!) and can help you every day with your research and information needs.
Military & Veteran Programs: We serve veteran, active duty, and their dependents in their pursuit of their education and career goals. We assist in outreach, enrollment, transition, navigation, and processing of VA and DOD education benefits.
Multicultural Services: Multicultural Services provides programs and experiences to help students develop as leaders, get involved in campus life, and access services that are designed specifically to increase retention and graduation rates for students of color.
Recreation & Fitness Center: OC Recreation Department is committed to providing the students of OC with diverse, inclusive, and fulfilling recreation activities that foster wellness, connect students, and increase fitness levels. We strive to educate our campus to pursue active, healthy lives.
Students in Need Group: The SING Advocacy and Resource Center serves all Olympic College students by providing information and referrals of campus and community resources, lending textbooks to students on a quarterly basis, and dispensing a variety of donation such as grab & go lunches, school supplies and personal care items. The staff is committed to student success and are continually looking for ways to help students overcome financial barriers.
Student Government of OC: The Student Government will provide information to the students about what we are doing for the students and what is going on at OC. We would use this event to promote clubs and allow the students to learn what activities are available for them to participate on campus.
Ranger Station: The Ranger Station is a central location for services and resources including admissions, financial aid, registration, and access to your student records. We can answer many of your questions and assist you in connecting to other resources as you navigate your way to earning your certificate or degree!
Tutoring: Tutoring Services provides academic support for all OC students in a wide array of subjects! Students who use tutoring are much more likely to be successful in their courses. The study centers are also a great place to hang out, connect to classmates, and work on assignments, even if you don't have questions for tutors!
Workforce Development & Basic Studies: We will be highlighting our Work First, Worker Retraining, and BFET programs which can provide financial assistance to students above the normal financial aid based on qualifications and need.
