Physicists investigate the fundamental nature of the universe. They observe and analyze various forms of energy and the structure of matter. Their studies have continued to broaden our understanding of the physical world and have enabled us to make increasing use of natural resources. Physicists contribute to scientific progress in diverse areas such as nuclear energy, electronics, communications and aerospace. Physicists work at colleges and universities, federally-funded national laboratories, and private industries.

Academic Program

Olympic College offers a variety of general physics and engineering physics courses that you can take as distribution requirements and electives towards your degree. We offer two options - Associate in Arts-Direct Transfer Agreement (AA-DTA): Physics, or the Associate in Science - Transfer, Track 2 (AS-T, Track-2): Physics.

Every student is assigned an advising team consisting of your Student Success Coach and Faculty Advisor. Your Faculty Advisor is determined once you decide on your specific academic program. The following professors are Faculty Advisors for Physics.
