Welding Program-Bremerton

WorkFirst participants and other low-income working parents may be eligible for assistance in participating in any one of the more than twenty Professional-Technical certificate programs offered at Olympic College.

Eligibility and Details: Tuition assistance may be available to WorkFirst applicants interested in attending college who meet one of the following criteria:

  • Are a low-income working parent (175% of Federal poverty level or below) and financially responsible for a child(ren);
  • Are a parent receiving TANF benefits, working 20 hrs/week, receive DSHS and Employment Security approval for education and training.

Qualified students may receive services in educational planning, financial assistance for tuition, fees, and books for vocational and basic skills training relevant to wage and skill progression. Customized job skills training options are available and one specifically designed to meet an individual employer's or group of employers' needs. WorkFirst Work Study positions are also available on a limited basis as well as referral to Working Connections Childcare for funding assistance with childcare related to school and work activities.
