POST-9/11 CHAPTER 33 BENEFITS

To learn more about this new VA education benefit, please visit www.gibill.va.gov and follow the 3 STEP process. Important clarification regarding STEP 3, veterans must visit Veterans’ Services at Olympic College in order to initiate their benefits

For additional information on this new benefit, the VA has posted a video on YouTube that explains the new Post-9/11 GI Bill. Viewing this video will not replace the need to follow the VA’s 3 STEP process.

VETERANS' TUITION WAIVERS

  • 50% discount of tuition for eligible veterans or national guard members

  • 10% discount of tuition for other military or naval veterans

 Eligibility, for both waivers, requires that a student have Washington domiciliary and that their discharge was Honorable.  Students need to provide a copy of their DD214, page 4, to the VSO so that we can verify an Honorable discharge, and also verify that the DD214 reflects the award of applicable campaign medal service.
