Counseling Approaches
I provide a range of student-centered counseling services to assist students with their academic, career, vocational, and personal decision-making. My counseling specialties include adjustment to college, career counseling, LGBTQ concerns, personal/family relationships, conflict resolution, and stress & time management. The counseling approaches I use include strengths-based, multicultural, cognitive-behavioral, and brief therapy. My work focuses on helping students understand and navigate the college system, recognize their strengths and talents, carefully plan their educational and career pursuits, and successfully reach their goals.
Eligibility for Services
Students enrolled at the college are eligible for services at no charge. The Counseling Center works on a short-term basis. In some circumstances, a referral to a community agency or professional may be necessary.
Appointments
Appointments may be made by calling the number above. Depending on student needs, counseling sessions can be brief or can last up to 50 minutes. Counselors are not available during breaks and availability during summer session is limited.
Cancellations
The services offered are a contract between you and the counselor. I ask, as a courtesy to all involved, that you call 24 hours in advance if you need to cancel a scheduled appointment.
