Counseling Approaches

I use a Humanistic/Rogerian approach as a base in all of my counseling. Depending on the individual or group, I will also use Rational Emotive, Reality or Brief Therapy models. Career issues, Stress/Anxiety, Family Systems conflict and relationships are areas covered with students I have seen. I work towards a trusting relationship and emphasize taking responsibility for one's actions.

Eligibility for Services

Students enrolled at the college are eligible for services at no charge. The Counseling center works on a short-term basis. In some circumstances an outside referral may be required.
