Counseling Approaches
I use a Humanistic/Rogerian approach as a base in all of my counseling. Depending on the individual or group, I will also use Rational Emotive, Reality or Brief Therapy models. In addition to personal issues, I work with students on career decision, stress reduction, and relational conflicts. I work towards a building a trusting relationship and emphasize students taking responsibility for their actions.
Eligibility for Services
Students enrolled at the college are eligible for services at no charge. The Counseling center works on a short-term basis. In some circumstances an outside referral may be required.
Appointments
Sessions are about 50 minutes. Appointment may be made by calling the number below. I am available during breaks but summer session is limited.
Cancellations
The services offered are a contract between you and the counselor. I ask as a courtesy to all involved, that you call 24 hours in advance if you know you need to cancel your appointment.
