Honors Study Topic

2006-2008 Honors Study Topic:
Gold, Gods and Glory: The Global Dynamics of Power

The Honors Study topic is meant to provide members an opportunity for intellectual growth and challenge. This year’s topic will help us to examine the human drive for power and the multiple dimensions of power. While all Phi Theta Kappa members can review topic related information on the Phi Theta Kappa International website (http://www.ptk.org/honors/guide/), a program guide is on hand in the chapter office to give students a more in depth look at the new topic. Our chapter has also purchased all four of the seminars on DVD, so that each member will have access to the information discussed during the seminars. Once the DVDs have arrived, information on viewings will posted to the website calendar.

Officer Opportunities

Becoming a Phi Theta Kappa officer is a wonderful way to meet new people and gain valuable leadership experience. Our Chapter currently has vacant officer positions available on all of the Olympic College campuses. Volunteer Opportunities

The Beta Gamma Eta chapter can always use the help of excited and motivated Phi Theta Kappa members to help take part in better our chapter, campus and community.  Please see our calendar for upcoming events and activities.

Tutors needed at West Hills Elementary School!

30 minute sessions of "One-on-One" reading tutoring for grades K-5. Tutors fluent in Vietnamese, Cantonese, or Romanian are especially needed!
