2010 Season

(Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2010 - OC Athletic Dept.)
Edmonds Bests OC
Olympic College gave playoff-bound Edmonds a battle, but lost in 4 games (23-25, 25-22, 25-23, 25-19). OC ends their season Thursday when they host Northwest Indian College at 6 p.m. in the Bremer Student Center.

Rangers Victorious Over Skagit
Crystal Colo had 11 kills, 10 digs, and two blocks and the OC Ranger volleyball program beat Skagit Valley 25-21, 21-25, 25-14, 25-22 at Mount Vernon, Wash. Mattie Kozloff added 19 assists, seven digs, and three aces; Jessica Jordan contributed 10 kills and 16 digs. OC is at Edmonds Tuesday and hosts their final home game of the season Thursday.

Kozloff Helps OC Top Everett
Olympic College's Mattie Kozloff played one of her top matches in leading the Rangers to a 3-0 win over Everett. OC cruised 25-15, 25-11, 25-17. Kozloff, a freshman from Anchorage, Alaska, had 22 assists, seven kills in eight attempts, four digs and three aces. (more>>)

Rangers Push Tritons to Five Games
The Olympic College volleyball team went the distance against Edmonds (5-13, 5-1) before losing 25-19, 18-25, 25-18, 14-25, 15-11 the NWAACC North Division match Wednesday at the Bremer Student Center. Jessica Jordan led OC with 19 digs, 10 kills, three blocks and two aces. Mattie Kozloff added 27 assists, 11 digs, three blocks and six kills.

OC Spikers Win Another
The Olympic College volleyball team won its second NWAACC match in a row, beating Pierce CC 25-22, 25-23, 18-25, 25-15 on Saturday at Bremer Student Center. (more>>)

OC Volleyball Beats Skagit
The Olympic College volleyball team beat the Skagit Valley Cardinals 3-0 in an NWAACC North Division match at Bremer Student Center. The Rangers won 25-20, 25-23, 25-22. The Cardinal fell to 1-11. (more>>

Improved Rangers Lose in 5 Games
This year's Olympic College Rangers volleyball team is far different than last year's team. For starters, they've won five matches, three more than they won all of last season. But the Rangers still have a ways to go. The Rangers showed both the good and the not-so-good in an NWAACC Northern Division match against Bellevue.(more>>)

The Olympic College volleyball team swept Northwest Indian College 3-0 on Wednesday. The Rangers won 25-13, 25-19, 25-10 as Michelle Glass led with nine kills. (more>>

Donnelly Starts to Rebuild
Olympic College's volleyball team has gone back to the basics. That's the word from Beth Donnelly, the first-year coach who is committed to turning the program around. The Rangers (1-1) play their first home match tonight Friday at 7 p.m. against Centralia. OC opened the season with a 3-0 win at Centralia earlier this week. (more>>

Volleyball Starts Season With Win
The Olympic College Volleyball team opened the 2010 season with a win at Centralia. The Rangers won three matches in a row (25-23, 25-20, 25-20). Chelsea Brustad had 11 sets and Jessica Jordan added 17 digs. See the box score (here).

First Recruit of the Donnelly Era Signs
New head coach Beth Donnelly has signed her first recruit for next years team. Chelsea Brustad is a 5'8'' setter from Olympic High School. Four other recruits have verbally committed to the Ranger volleyball program in the last two weeks.

Donnelly Tasked With Major Rebuilding Job
Beth Donnelly has thrived as a rebuilder of volleyball teams. She has a heck of a project ahead of her. Donnelly was named the new volleyball coach at Olympic College on Wednesday. Donnelly's previous college coaching job was at South Dakota School of Mines & Technology, an NAIA school in Rapid City. She took over a program which suffered through a revolving door of coaches to a team that went 23-6. (more>>)

New Coach, New Attitude
Olympic College has hired Beth Donnelly to lead the Rangers volleyball team into next season. Donnelly, 28, is a graduate of Northern Michigan University and brings an extensive amount of knowledge and experience to a Rangers squad that is looking for a winning season. "I'm excited to be back to the college atmosphere," said Donnelly. "It will be nice to handle people at more of an adult level compared to coaching in high school." (more>>)
