Rangers Runner Up in Gresham
The women's volleyball team traveled to Gresham Oregon this past weekend for the annual Dorian Halloween Classic. The ladies went 4 - 0 defeating Umpqua, Chemeketa, Wenatchee Valley, and #6 Clackamas before meeting the host team Mt. Hood in the finals. Unfortunately for the Rangers, the Saints were just too powerful at the end of the day beating OC 3-1. Coach Donnelly was proud of her team for lasting the whole week. "We played 7 matches in 6 days and only dropped this final one. With a roster size like ours, it makes for a very long week and our ladies worked hard. I'm glad we got a chance to play Mt. Hood though. We are matched up with the south this year and could see them again at NWAACCs. We will be better prepared next time!"
Rangers Ashlee Trane and Ivy Eakes were named to the All-Tournament Team. Eakes lead the team with 16 aces and Trane had 196 assists.

Rangers Take Bellevue Crossover
The women's volleyball team traveled to Bellevue on Friday for a 2 day "NWAACC LIKE" bracketed tourney.  Four of the top 8 teams in the conference were there including #1 Blue Mountain.  The Rangers had their first shot at the Timberwolves on Friday night in the quarterfinals but came up just short in a long 5 set battle.  Saturday posed 5 matches back to back for a very lengthy day for the Rangers but their focus was on the finals and they rolled through the losers bracket without dropping a single set.  The Rangers knocked out Blue Mountain in 2 straight to meet host Bellevue rivals for the championship.  After losing to the Bulldogs at home earlier this year, the ladies were hungry for redemption, and that's what they got.  Olympic took 3 straight sets from Bellevue to put them into a tie break 1 set to 25 winner take all.  The Rangers DID take all with a score of 25-17 to finish the day with a perfect 10-0 in play.  Fossum, Burnett, and Trane were named to the All-Tournament Team.

The Lady Rangers had one match last week but they made sure that it count.  The Whatcom Orcas had a long trip from Bellingham for a short 3 set loss to the Rangers.  "Every win is a nice win," says head coach Beth Donnelly. "But when your whole roster gets involved in the win, it's even better!"  The Rangers were lead in digs by freshman Jordyn Nickolson with 7.  Freshman Samantha Williams, had 2 blocks and 2 aces off the bench.

Rangers Split in First Week of League The volleyball team started league this past week and after rolling over Everett they hosted Bellevue at home.  Things were definitely off to say the least for the Rangers as the basics of serving and passing seemed to trouble them all match.  The Bulldogs came ready to play and took the 5 set match giving the Rangers only their second loss on the season.

Volleyball Loses First in 20 Matches
The Lady Rangers were in Everett this weekend for the first of two season crossovers.  They rolled through pool play and continued on through the bracket landing them in the final match against Blue Mountain.  This was their 2nd meeting this season with OC capturing the first victory just 2 weeks prior.  The Timberwolves were much more prepared this time stealing the championship in a
3 - 0 sweep over the Rangers.  The #1 and #2 ranked teams each have one loss on the season, and they are to each other.  Ashlee Trane (OC's setter) was the lone All-Star Selection for the tournament.  She averaged 11 assists per set for the weekend.
