Bronze for Brocklesby; NWAACC Decathalon
The second and final day of the multis wrapped up Tuesday.  When the scores were tallied, freshman Jayson Brockelsby had a total of 6,294 points and captured the third place title and the top finishing freshman at the meet.  Brockelsby PR'd in 8 of his 10 events.

Brocklesby Leads Multis; Day 1
Freshman Jayson Brocklesby is the Lone Ranger to qualify for the NWAACC Decathalon that is being held at Lane CC in Eugene, Oregon.  After the first day of competition, Brocklesby is currently in first place by one point with a score of 3,544.  He had four personal bests in Day 1 events including winning the 400m dash with a time of 49.26.  Events win continue on Tuesday.

Rangers Continue to Improve
OC Track & Field was met with pouring rain and blustery winds on Saturday in Bellingham at the Ralph Vernacchia Invite.  Despite the weather, the Rangers set 15 separate PR's for the day.

The Rangers traveled to Ellensburg to compete in the Central Washington's annual Spike Arlington Invite on Saturday.

Brocklesby Wins Decathlon
Olympic College took two athletes to Western Washington for the multi-event meet on Thursday in hopes to qualify for the NWAACCs later this month.  Hunter Keffer from Central Kitsap and Jayson Brocklesby from Sequim competed against WWU, CWU, and Univ. of British Columbia over the span of two days.  Most of the events they competed in they hadn't even attempted in high school.  But that, nor the gusts of 30 mph winds were not going to keep them from doing their best.
Keffer finished fifth over all with a score of 4,471 points winning the shot put with a throw of 36' 8.25".
Brocklesby walked away with the first place title scoring 5,801 points and winning the 100m, 400m and 1500m respectively.

Rangers at University of Puget Sound
The Rangers were in Tacoma at Baker Stadium this past weekend at the UPS Invite.

Rangers Compete at Hub City Open
OC Track & Field was in Centralia on Saturday for their second meet of the season. Makiah McInnis was the top performer for the Rangers taking 1st place in the javelin with a throw of 162'3".

Men Open Season at PLU
OC Track & Field opened their season at the Pacific Lutheran Invite. Despite the rain and cold temperatures the Rangers competed against Division II and III athletes from around the state of Washington.

Last Chance Meet
The Men's and Women's Track and Field teams were in Lacey, Wash. on Sunday for their last regular season meet.  Those qualifying for NWAACCs will be competing in Spokane on Monday and Tuesday May 20-21st for the Championships. (MEET RESULTS)

Haskin Takes Second in the Javelin
Freshman John Haskin has only spent a few months working on throwing the javelin, but his work seems to be paying off.  Haskin was among Division I, II, and III athletes when his mark of 151'8" was enough for a 2nd place finish overall. (TEAM RESULTS)

Keith Ryan could be called "Iron Man" after Saturday's meet. He competed in his first ever 3K Steeplechase, a 5K, and ran a leg in the team's 4x400 relay. (TEAM RESULTS)

Vanderloop, Feiring Hitting the Books
Track and Field's Boden Vanderloop and Jacob Feiring have received NWAACC All-Academic awards for their work in the classroom this year. Feiring has earned a 3.75 GPA, while Vanderloop has maintained a 3.4.

Delicino Second, Crock Fourth 
Jeremy Delicino ran to a second place finish in the men's 5,000 meter run (15:57.41) at the Peyton meet in Tacoma, Wash. This past Saturday Andrew Crock was fourth in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:01.45 at the J.D. Shotwell Invite at the University of Puget Sound.
