Softball
Season Review The Lady Rangers complete another successful season finishing 4th at the NWAACC tournament this year. This comes off the heels of a 3rd place finish last year. OC finished with 17 wins in league and a 28-14 record overall.
ALL-LEAGUE HONORS 2009 Sophomores Erika Quint (Silverdale, Wash., Central Kitsap High) and Natalie Peapea (Port Orchard, Wash., South Kitsap High) named to the 1st-Team All NWAACC North Division.
Joining them as 2nd-Team All-league selections were sophomores Carolyn Edenbo (Gig Harbor, Wash., Peninsula High), Megan Kreifels (Bremerton, Wash., Kings West High), and Keri Leaverton (Lakebay, Wash., Peninsula High).
Quint and battery mate Amy Renfrow (Silverdale, Wash., Central Kitsap High) were also chosen to the All-NWAACC Tournament Team.

(Sunday, May 17, 2009 - Kitsap Sun Sports) Sophomore Class Will Be Tough to Replace Southwestern Oregon proved to be the nemesis for the Olympic College softball team. The Lakers from Coos Bay, Ore., beat the Rangers twice during the regular season and they knocked Olympic into the loser's bracket of the 16-team NWAACC tournament during the first round on Friday. On Sunday, SW Oregon ended OC's tourney-run with a 4-0 victory at Delta Park in Portland, Ore. (more>>)
(Friday, May 15, 2009 - Kitsap Sun Sports) OC Softball Still Alive at NWAACCs The Olympic College softball team split its two games Friday at the first day of the NWAACC tournament. OC was blanked in the opener by Southwest Oregon 7-0. OC is 0-3 against SW Oregon this season. OC (25-13) rebounded in the second game, staying alive by beating Pierce 11-0. Erick Quint pitched both games for OC. Amy Renfrow hit a homer in the second game. (more>>)

aaaaaaaaa | MOVING ON.... Four Ranger sophomores will be continuing their playing careers at the 4-year level next season.
Erika Quint will pitch for Western Washington University, a NCAA Division-II school in Bellingham, Wash. She will join former Ranger standout Karli Baumgartner (Silverdale, Wash., Central Kitsap High) for the Vikings.
Outfielder Natalie Peapea and catcher Amy Renfrow will play for Dickinson State, an NAIA school in Dickinson, North Dakota. The Hawks have received NAIA tournament bids in each of the past 3 years and finished the 2009 season ranked #3 in the nation.
Infielder Megan Kreifels will play at Saint Martins, a NCAA Division-II school in Lacey, Wash.
