Women Bound for the Playoffs
For the first time in its history, the Olympic College women's soccer team will make its debut in the NWAACC playoffs. The Rangers shut down Highline, 6-0, at Memorial Stadium on Saturday to clinch a spot in the postseason. "The girls are up, they're really up," said OC coach Dick Lowry. "If we go into the playoffs like this, we are going to be hard to beat." (more>>)

Ranger Women Settle For Tie
The Olympic College women's soccer team battled to a 4-4 tie against Green River in an NWAACC West Division match Saturday. The Rangers are in a tie for first-place with Tacoma with 15 points and have just three games remaining. They may have to play those games without starting keeper Kelsey Krasas. Krasas, a freshman from Kingston, suffered a 2-inch gash on her knee from a cleat, said OC coach Dick Lowry. (more>>)

Rangers Liking View From the Top
Olympic College athletic director Barry Janusch has a new nickname for Rangers women's soccer coach Dick Lowry - "the general manager." Lowry earned the title recently, as he's taken to watching his team's games from the press box instead of the sidelines. The coach has also managed to piece together a competitive squad in his second season as the Rangers coach. Olympic improved to 6-3-1 overall Wednesday with a 2-0 win over Tacoma at Bremerton Memorial Stadium. (more>>)

Smith, Rangers Shutdown Spokane
Nataly Smith scored two goals and assisted on a third score as the Olympic College women's soccer team blanked Spokane 3-0 Saturday in NWAACC play. Smith found the back of the net in the 30th and 34th minutes, then assisted on Ali Brown's goal in the 37th minute. Kelsey Krasas posted the shutout for the Rangers (5-3-1). (more>>)

Women's Soccer Grabs Share of First
The Olympic College women's soccer team claimed a 4-0 NWAACC West Division win over Green River on Wednesday. The win put the Rangers (4-3-1, 2-2-1) in a tie with Bellevue for first place in the West Division. OC plays Spokane at Bremerton Memorial Stadium on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. (more>>)

OC Shut Out by Chuckars
Olympic College was shut out by Treasure Valley 4-0 on Saturday in Ontario, Ore. The Rangers (3-3) are back in action Saturday, Sept. 26th when they travel to Yakima (0-3) for a 12:00 p.m. game. (more>>)

Ranger Women Pick Up Soccer Win
Cassie Brown scored the only goal the Olympic College women's soccer team needed in a 1-0 win over Everett on Wednesday. The Rangers improved to 3-2 in the NWAACC (1-1 West Division). Brown, a freshman forward from South Kitsap, scored in the 20th minute off an assist from Rachel Hardin, a freshman from W.F. West in Chehalis. Brown will miss OC's game at Treasure Valley on Saturday because of a red card issued late in yesterday's game. OC coach Richard Lowry said Brown got into a little tussle with an Everett player. OC Women's Soccer Preview
Losing three of his starters to knee injuries at the start of last season, Coach Dick Lowry's Lady Rangers never really recovered, leading to a 6-12-1 record. "I had no bench," he said. "I didn't have a bench to back them up." The women's soccer team opened the season beating Whatcom 1-0, and losing a close match to Clark College 2-1. (more>>)
