OC Soccer Knocked Out of Playoffs
Olympic College women's soccer coach Dick Lowry said his team achieved its goal by qualifying for the NWAACC playoffs this season. Winning a postseason game is something that will have to wait. OC lost 2-1 to Shoreline on Wednesday in the first round of the NWAACC tournament as the Dolphins outscored the Rangers 3-0 in a penalty-kick shootout. "My girls played really well," Lowry said. "We were not outplayed." Both teams went scoreless during 20 minutes of overtime, but Shoreline earned the victory by making its first three penalty kicks, while OC missed three times. (more>>)

Rangers Lose Their Homefield Advantage
Olympic College's women's soccer team lost 2-1 to Bellevue on Monday. The loss means the Rangers - who had already qualified for the postseason for the first time in school history - will play the NWAACC Tournament on the road instead of hosting a first-round game. Olympic (7-7-3) finished third in the West Division and will play Shoreline (8-4-3) who placed second in the North Division. Game time is set for 11:30 a.m. in Seattle, Wash. on Wednesday. (more>>)
