James Ritchie begins his 2nd season as the Olympic College head men's soccer coach. Ritchie is the fourth head coach in Olympic College history.

Ritchie has an extensive background in soccer and is currently an assistant coach with the Kitsap Pumas Soccer Club (professional). The Pumas captured the PDL National Championship in the summer of 2011. From 2008-2009 Ritchie coached Dumbarton Pro Youth, a U15 team in Dumbarton, Scotland and also Bainbridge Island YSC. In 2007 he coached Patrick Thistle, a U14 based out of Glasgow, Scotland. Between 2005-2008 Ritchie coached Dennis Yarmouth HS and Paul Turners Ultimate Soccer Academy in the Cape Cod, and Hillington YC U13 in Glasgow. Ritchie has a vast amount of coaching certifications which include: NSCAA Premier, NSCAA Advanced National Diploma, NSCAA National Diploma, SFA Youth Level 3, SFA Children Level 3, SFA Goalkeeper Level 2, and SFA Club Coaching certificate. He is also currently the Head Soccer Coach at South Kitsap High School in Port Orchard, Wash.

Coach Ritchie played for Paisley Thistle FC, Benburb FC, Glasgow Rose, and Glasgow AFC U18 in Scotland. He competed at Missouri Valley College in the United States.

Ritchie vows to bring excitement and energy to the OC soccer program, "Practices will be dynamic and fast paced. Player development will be top of our agenda. My current role with the Kitsap Pumas will give athletes the unique opportunity to view and be coached by elite level athletes. For players to excel in our program they may be offered the opportunity to trial and with and in some cases be offered for the Kitsap Pumas."

Ritchie is a native of Linlithgow, Scotland.

Randy joins the men's soccer program as one of James Ritchie's assistant coaches, and enters his 2nd season with the team. Coach Lund is the current men's soccer coach at Bremerton High School. Bremerton has won two consecutive Olympic League titles under Lund, who took over in 2008 at BHS.
