Daryl Matheny begins his sixth season as the Olympic College Head Men's Golf Coach.

In 2004, Daryl started the OC men's and women's golf programs. Three seasons later (2006-07), he lead the OC men to a North Region championship. Additionally, he was honored as the NWAACC Coach of the Year and Olympic College Coach of the Year, at the 8th Annual Kitsap Sports Awards Banquet.

Although he was born in Southern California (Ventura, Calif.), Daryl calls the Olympic Peninsula home. A three-year varsity letterman on the Olympic High golf team, Daryl was ranked 4th in Washington State his senior year. A professional golf for the last 20-years, Daryl also works as the Head Golf Pro at Gold Mountain Golf Club in Bremerton, Wash.

Recruiting is a main focus for Coach Matheny. As an active teacher of the game, he has a keen eye for swing traits in recruits.
 
Daryl lives in the Tracyton, Wash., with his wife Tammee and three children, Shane, Chase and Zoie.
