Olympic College's Megan Gilbert was a first-team selection on the all-NWAACC North Division women's basketball teams. Gilbert, from North Kitsap, averaged 17.5 points for the Rangers. Teammate Coty Ettl was a second-team pick.

OC Eight Ready to Roll
Paul Felker certainly knew the women's basketball history when he decided this year to more over from the men's program, where he was an assistant, to take the women's job. He's not deterred from that history or terrified of the challenge it presents. It's not easy coaching community college basketball at OC where the stipend is not huge and where the cracker box facility is the same it was in 1949 when the men went 32-2 and finished fourth in the National Junior College Tournament. Felker Goes From Men's Assistant to Women's Head Coach at OC
Paul Felker wanted to be a head basketball coach. He wasn't necessarily thinking about being a women's coach, but when the opportunity presented itself, he thought it over for a couple of weeks, and said, "Why not?" Felker, 29, a men's assistant the last four years at Olympic College, is the new women's coach at the Bremerton community college. (more>>)

Rangers Learning How to Win on the Road
The Olympic College Men’s Basketball took to the road for the first time this season. On Wednesday (Nov. 21) they faced off against the Highline Thunderbird in Des Moines, Wash., and suffered their first blemish of the season, a 77-to-64 loss. (more>>)

Season Underway

The Lady Rangers, under the leadership of first year head coach Paul Felker, opened the Olympic College basketball season on the road at the Shoreline Kickoff Tournament in Shoreline, Washington. Friday night they played the Lane College Titans and Saturday afternoon they faced the Linn-Benton College Roadrunners. (more>>)
