(Monday, November 16, 2009 - Kitsap Sun Sports) OC's Newest Point Guard Likes to Make Plenty of Verbal Points Cartiea French-Toney also can hound an opponent on the court. The community college basketball season officially got started over a week ago with practices and Olympic College already has its media guy - Cartiea French-Toney. "I'm like Chad Ochocinco and Terrell Owens," says French-Toney, a 6-1 freshman point guard from Cleveland High School in Seattle. "I like to talk to the media." He likes to talk, period. French-Toney says talking just comes natural for him. It wasn't something he intentionally tried to do, but picked it up from others as he played basketball. (more>>)
(Tuesday, June 23, 2009 - Kitsap Sun Sports) Klahowya's Moore, CK's Thompson Among 10-Player Recruiting Class The Rangers’ recruiting class includes a lot of quickness — and hulking Reggie Rogers from Sealth. The old Olympic College gym at Bremer Student Center has held its share of exciting basketball games in its 62-year history, a few of them coming last season when Billy Landram put together a sophomore-laden team that posted 21 wins and brought home a seventh-place trophy from the Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges Tournament.
