Game 1: Saturday’s rematch with Columbia Basin looked as though it would be a repeat of Friday’s game, an easy Hawk victory. OC struck first with two runs in the 1st inning. Columbia Basin answered with 10 runs in the next four innings, to lead 10-3 midway through the contest.
But, as they proved against the Green River Gators on opening day (Mar. 1st), this Ranger team does not like to lose and will battle back.
After Munson grounded out to the shortstop to open the top of the 8th inning, the next ten OC hitters reached 1st base. All ten would eventually score giving OC a 13-to-11 victory.

BAYER | Ben Bayer got the win in relief, and freshman right-hander Zack Stiles (Mayde Creek High / Houston, Texas), who pitched the final three outs, was credited with the save for Olympic.
