Baseball ALL-LEAGUE HONORS 2009 Sophomore Jared Munson (Reno High, Reno NV) named to 1st-Team NWAACC North Division Outfield and Gold Glove Team for his defensive play in the outfield. Munson finished the season hitting .335, with 27 runs, 16 RBI and 16 stolen bases. Munson is the first player from OC Baseball in recent memory to win 1st-Team honors in back-to-back years.
Sophomore Jesse Cummings (North Kitsap High, Kingston Wash.) named to 2nd-Team NWAACC North Division Infield. Cummings lead the Rangers with 27 RBI, 2 HR, 10 2B, and a .368 batting average.
MOVING ON.... Sophomore outfielders Jared Munson, Alex McKinlay (Burlington-Edison High, Burlington, Wash.), and infielder Jesse Cummings have committed to Clarke College in Dubuque, Iowa to continue their baseball careers. Clarke is an NAIA school affiliated with the Midwest Colliegiate Conference. All have secured scholarships for the 2010 season.
Utility player Danny Hennigs has signed with the NCAA Division-II Hawaii-Hilo Vulcans. Hennigs will be given the opportunity to stay a two-way player, pitching from the left side and playing OF/1B. The Vulcans compete in the Pacific West Conference. [top] | 1997 NWAACC Northern Division Champions |
 | (Sunday, May 10, 2009 - Kitsap Sun Sports) Rangers End Season with Win Josh Rubideaux told Olympic College coach Ryan Parker he was fine to continue past the sixth inning. Rubideaux, a freshman from Redmond, had thrown just 77 pitches and was eager to keep throwing. Parker listened to his pitcher and Rubideaux helped the Rangers earn a 7-3 win over Shoreline CC on Sunday in the second game of an NWAACC North Division doubleheader. Shoreline won the opener, 6-5. (Saturday, May 2, 2009 - Kitsap Sun Sports) Baseball Team Manages Split With Bellevue Olympic College's baseball team lost the second game of Saturday's doubleheader to Bellevue 9-5. But it was the team's late-inning rally in the first game that had Rangers coach Ryan Parker singing his players' praises. (more>> )

Former Ranger (2007-2008) pitcher Colby Robinson (Peninsula High, Gig Harbor, Wash.) just completed his junior season at the University of Puget Sound. He was 2nd in appearances for the NCAA Division-III Loggers of Tacoma, Wash. Evan Staley (West Seattle High, Seattle, Wash.) just completed his junior season at Dickinson St., an NAIA school in North Dakota. Staley is an outfielder who played for the Rangers from 2006-2007.
