How much do you know about the African American experience? Did it begin in 1619 at Jamestown? Did all African Americans arrive on the continent as slaves? Were African Americans a part of the American quest for independence? Is the “Forty Acres and a Mule” premise a Spike Lee fallacy? Was February assigned as African American History Month because it was the shortest and coldest month of the year? Please attend the Multicultural and Student Programs annual event to learn answers to these questions and much more information that is part of “An African American Historical Perspective.”
