Commencement Ceremony

A formal Commencement (graduation) ceremony is held each year in June for all students who graduate throughout the academic year. Information will be mailed to potential graduates. Graduates, members of the College and local community and guests are invited to attend.

Information will be sent to students who confirm Commencement attendance. Graduates should check in and assemble at the Presidents' Hall, located next to the Pavilion, by 1:15 pm (45 minutes before the ceremony starts). Allow plenty of time to arrive as traffic may be heavy. The ceremony will last approximately an hour and a half. Refreshments will be served after the ceremony in the President's Hall.

Attendance

Around the third week of May eligible graduates for the current academic year will be formally invited to take part in the commencement ceremony. The eligible student must RSVP by the posted deadline to take part in the ceremony. Please RSVP for confirmation and wear appropriate regalia (cap and gown). There are no admission tickets. Cost

Graduates purchase a cap and gown for participation in the ceremony. Announcements are also available for purchase. See the Regalia (cap and gown) and Attendance pages for information.

Graduates may invite as many guests as they wish. There is nothing guests must do prior to attending. They do not RSVP, or have admission tickets. However, guests may not arrive later than 1:45 to receive seating.

Parking

Free parking is available in lots adjacent to the Pavilion.

Guests should arrive no later than 1:45 pm. Guests will not be seated during the processional or presentation of colors which starts at 2:00 pm.

The ceremony lasts one and one-half  to two hours and a reception is held in the President's Hall immediately following the ceremony for graduates, guests and members of the College and local community.

Diplomas

Diplomas will not be distributed at the ceremony. Commencement participants will receive diploma covers and a note of congratulation. See more information about diplomas.

Graduation pictures can be purchased through Olympic Photo Group. Portraits, candid photos, and ceremony photos are available.
