Transfer Student F&Q
Should I get my transcripts from other schools evaluated? It is necessary to get an evaluation of official transcripts from other schools if you plan to earn a degree or certificate at Olympic College.
If you do not plan to earn a degree or certificate at Olympic College it is not necessary to get an official evaluation of your transcripts from other schools.
How do I show that I meet the prerequisite for a class? If you are taking classes at Olympic College for which the prerequisite class was taken elsewhere, you may use an unofficial copy with picture ID. Bring the unofficial copy and picture ID to the department offering the class or to the Advising Center for an entry code to override prerequisites.
Transfer Rights and Responsibilities The Washington Higher Education Coordinating Board has designated Student and College and University Rights and Responsibilities for transfer classes and students. See the Transfer Rights and Responsibilities.
What happens if I sent my transcript from another school and I have not attended Olympic College? If you have not attended Olympic College, OC will hold your transcript from another school for one year. After one year if you have still not attended OC your transcript may be shredded. If you have attended OC, your outside transcript will be held as part of your student file.
