What is the Military Education Program at Olympic College?

A team dedicated to meeting the educational needs of active duty military and their families.  Military Education offers flexible and accessible programs and services that align with military advancement goals and scheduling needs.

What services are provided by Military Education?

Advising, admissions, registration, degree planning, SOC Student Agreements, and payment processing.  Our advisors are specially trained to meet the needs of our military families. 

Who is eligible for Military Education services?

Active duty military and their families are our primary focus.  Civilians who work on base are also welcome to use the services available there.

I  want to go to college and take some classes. How do I get started?

Complete the Olympic College Admissions process with an OC Mil Ed advisor or apply online.  See Steps to Success for more information

How do I register for class?

Students can register with an OC Mil Ed advisor or online.

I want to get started on my degree, but I don't know what I want to study or major in.  Can I take classes anyway until I figure out what I want to do?

Absolutely!  OC's Mil Ed advisors can guide you to classes that fit into most degree paths.  They also have resources available that can help you decide on a degree plan.

What's a SOC Agreement and why do I need one?

A SOC Agreement is a specific degree plan customized for you.  It allows you to begin a degree at OC and finish it at another college if you change duty stations or separate from the military.

I'm a civilian and registered for a class on base.  What do I need to do now?

Please read the instructions for Base Access and contact an OC Mil Ed advisor as soon as possible.
