How do I Get Base Access?

Civilian students attending OC courses on Naval Base Kitsap must obtain a temporary pass for base access.  Here's how:


OC at Naval Base Kitsap-Bangor

  1. Contact Nancy Buck at OC-Bangor  upon registration to get your name added to the Pass and ID list.
  2. Allow 2-3 days for NBK-Bangor to process the request.
  3. Bring driver's license or other government issued photo ID, vehicle registration and proof of vehicle insurance to the Pass & ID office located outside the Main Gate.  They will issue you a temporary ID valid only for attendance of the class.  The Pass and ID office at Bangor is open Mondays and Wednesdays, 6 am to 5 pm, and Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, 6 am to 2 pm.

OC at Naval Base Kitsap-Bremerton

  1. Contact Kate Easton at OC NBK-Bremerton upon registration to be added to the Pass & ID list.  
  2. Allow 3-5 days for NBK-Bremerton to process the request.
  3. Bring driver's license or other government issued photo ID, vehicle registration and proof of vehicle insurance to the Pass & ID office located outside the Navy Yard Hwy Gate.  They will issue you a temporary ID valid only for attendance of the class.  The Pass and ID office at NBK-Bremerton is open Monday through Friday from 7 am to 3 pm.

Naval Hospital Bremerton

  1. Contact Kate Easton at OC NBK-Bremerton upon registration to be added to the Pass & ID list.  
  2. Allow 2-3 days for Naval Hospital Bremerton to process the request.
  3. Bring driver's license or other government issued photo ID, vehicle registration and proof of vehicle insurance to the Pass & ID office located outside the hospital gate.  They will issue you a temporary ID valid only for attendance of the class.  The Pass and ID office at Naval Hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm.

Temporary ID , Photo ID, vehicle registration and proof of vehicle insurance need to be with you each time you enter the base.  Access can be restricted or denied. Civilians without temporary ID and not on the official Olympic College class list will be denied access.  OC will make every effort to contact students if heightened security results in access restrictions or changes to class locations.  Persons and vehicles traveling on base are subject to security search at any time.
