Do I need to make payment at the time of registration?
Yes. In order for your registration to be processed, payment must be made. Sorry, no exceptions.

How do I pay for my classes using a scholarship? There are two options for you to choose from. The foundation that awarded you the scholarship can mail a voucher or letter to OC Cashiering or OC Accounting, then the college will bill them. Or, the foundation can mail a check to the Cashier's Office on your behalf.
top Do I need to be accepted as a student and take the placement test to take Continuing Education classes?
Our classes are open to the public and anyone may attend.

Do I have to be enrolled in credit classes to take Continuing Education classes?
No. You may take classes at any time and do not have to be an Olympic College student.

Are prerequisites for Continuing Education classes required?
Prerequisites ensure you have a successful and enjoyable experience in class. It also ensures you have the previous experience or training before advanced classes are undertaken. If you have a question about your skill level, e-mail ContinuingEd@olympic.edu or call 360-475-7786 and we will work with our instructors to assist you in your course selection. Please note our office does not offer advising to students. The decision to register for a Continuing Education class is made entirely by the student.

What forms of payment are accepted?
We accept cash, check, credit card, or money order. If you wish to pay cash, it is recommended you pay in-person at one of our campuses. Visit the Cashier's Office web site for more information at OC Cashiering.

Do I need to bring supplies to class, or are all materials included in course fee?
Unless otherwise noted in the course description, all materials and textbooks for Continuing Education classes are provided. Some courses will have supply information available on our web page at Supplies/Class Info. If you want to find out whether there is a supply list for your class please email ContinuingEd@olympic.edu.

How much credit does each class in Continuing Education receive?
Our classes do not carry credit. You may receive a certificate of attendance upon request.

If I have to withdraw from a class, when will I receive my refund?
Refunds take approximately four weeks. Please see our Withdrawal & Refund policy for specifics about withdrawing from a class.

Are minors allowed to attend adult-level Continuing Education classes? Minors may attend classes by paying a registration fee and with the OC registrar's and instructor's permission. We ask that parents ensure that the child is mature enough to follow the material without detracting from the experience for other participants. An accompanying parent with a paid registration is always recommended if the child is 12 years old or younger for adult-level courses.

Can I bring my preschool child to class with me?
Only registered and paid persons, regardless of age, may attend classes.

We price our classes so they are affordable for all, so no discount is available.

Do I need a parking pass to park in a campus parking lot?
Campus parking is free after 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and free all day on Saturday and Sunday.

How do I find the location of my classroom?
To find which campus and classroom your class is scheduled, find your class on our online scheduler at http://www.olympic.edu/Students/Registration/View.htm. Once you know the campus and room number, you can view our campus maps at http://www.olympic.edu/Campuses/. If you are still unable to find your classroom location, contact our office at ContinuingEd@olympic.edu or 360-475-7786.

Will I receive confirmation upon registration and payment?
At this time we are unable to automatically send confirmation of registration and payment. To request confirmation, please contact us, with your Student ID number, at 360-475-7786.

Will I receive proof of successfully completing a course?
Most professional development courses scheduled at one of our campuses include a certificate of successful completion at the end of class. For most of our online classes, upon successful completion you will be able to print your own proof of completion. If upon successfully completing one of our classes you do not receive a certificate, please contact us with your name, course title and date, at ContinuingEd@olympic.edu or 360-475-7786.
