Homestay

Homestay options (traditional or nontraditional) are available in the Bremerton area.

Homestays with American host families offer an opportunity to experience a new culture while learning English. The cost for a traditional Homestay is $575 per month, which includes a furnished bedroom and food for three meals per day. There is a nonrefillable fee of $100 for this placement service. Please indicate on your application if you are requesting a Homestay placement.

Minor students who are 17 years old or younger must to live with a local gurdian or relatives if they are not in our homestay program.

Apartment Rental 

Apartment Living:

  • Apartment living can provide privacy and independence.
  • Most American apartments come with basic appliances and fixtures; furniture may or may not be provided.
  • Apartment managers usually require a six month lease. Be sure to understand the terms before signing a lease.
  • Average rent for a one bedroom apartment is $500 to $800 per month.
  • Rent usually does not include all utilities; electricity and phone often are paid in addition to rent.
