Official Credit Evaluation

OC honors academic credits earned at other regionally accredited institutions and through military service schools. OC subscribes to the statewide policy on Inter-College Transfer and Articulation amongst Washington public colleges and universities. Courses accepted in transfer must be essentially equivalent in academic level and content to coursework offered at OC. A grade of 2.0 or higher or equivalent is required in each transferred course.

 

Eligibility

Evaluations are completed only for current or previously enrolled OC students.

 

To apply for transfer credit:

 

Complete and submit the Request for Advance Standing Summary form.

Order official signed and sealed transcripts from all post-secondary institutions previously attended


Financial Aid Applicants:

  • Indicate on the Request for Advance Standing Summary form that the Financial Aid Office is to receive a copy of the evaluation when completed.
  • You must have all transcripts sent to the Olympic College Registration & Records Office.
  • Transcripts will be accepted by the Registration and Records Office directly from student only if the documents are submitted in an envelope sealed at the issuing institution.

Submit transcripts to OC by:

 

  • Requesting that the transcripts be sent to the Registration and Records Office (see address at the bottom of this page).
  • Transcripts will be accepted directly from students only if the documents are submitted in an envelope sealed at the issuing institution.

 

Note: Submitted transcripts become property of Olympic College and cannot be returned or forwarded.

 

Completion

When all official transcripts are received, completion of the process usually requires six to eight weeks. You will receive the evaluation in the mail upon completion.

 

Unofficial Credit Evaluation (Academic Planning) 

If you haven't transferred credits from another institution to Olympic College, you may request an unofficial evaluation. Take copies of all your transfer work to the Student Entry and Advising Center or Counseling Services (see Advising link at right). An advisor or counselor can perform an unofficial evaluation.
