About Transfer Credit Evaluation
OC honors academic credits earned at other regionally accredited institutions and through military service schools. OC subscribes to the statewide policy on Inter-College Transfer and Articulation amongst Washington public colleges and universities. Courses accepted in transfer must be essentially equivalent in academic level and content to coursework offered at OC.
Transcript Evaluation Process
The transcript evaluation process does not begin until students:
An evaluation will be completed in approximately 8 – 12 weeks
When complete a Degree Audit report will be e-mailed to students. Students should then run a degree audit report.
- submitted the Transcript Evaluation Request form.
- have been a student at OC for two weeks, and
- OC has received transcripts from all colleges and universities attended previously.
Note: Transcripts must be received by OC within one year of the submission of the Transfer Evaluation Request or your request will be cancelled.
Request Transcripts from Other Institutions
Contact the institution to request a transcript to be sent to Olympic College. Veterans or active duty military see Military Service Schools.
Send official transcripts to: Olympic College, Registration and Records, 1600 Chester Ave., Bremerton, WA 98337
The issuing institution may charge a transcript processing fee. OC cannot request official transcripts on the student’s behalf.
Transcripts will be accepted directly from students only if the documents are submitted in an envelope sealed at the issuing institution.
Note: Submitted transcripts become the property of OC and cannot be returned or forwarded.
All transcripts must be submitted in English. Special procedures are required for international universities with the exception of those located in US territories, Canada, and Mexico. Contact the Evaluations staff for information at 360.475.7200.
Transfer Advising (Academic Planning)
For the first quarter of attendance at OC, transfer students may see an advisor for educational planning and prerequisites. Contact the Advising and Counseling Center for information.
