Mentoring & Advising for Persistence & Success


Program Overview

The MAPS Program involves building trusting professional relationships between OC staff and students to provides academic support for low-income, first-generation students, and students with disabilities. Support is provided through academic development, assistance with college requirements, and activities that motivate students to complete post-secondary education.To participate in the MAPS Program, the student must meet at least one of the following criteria:

      • First Generation (Neither parent completed a four-year degree);
      • You are considered low income;
      • You have a documented disability.

We will create a supportive and engaging college environment where traditionally under-represented students can pursue their educational plans of transferring to upper division institutions or transitioning to the world of work.
