Providing Dollars for OC Students
Financial Aid is eager to assist you with access to the various types of financial aid funds available to meet your educational objectives at OC for 2011-2012 academic year.
Steps to Apply for Financial Aid:
STEP 1: Complete OC Admissions Application (new students only)
STEP 2: Complete FAFSA (OC school code is 003784)
STEP 3: Financial Aid Data Sheet (after FAFSA completion)
In addition to these steps, some financial aid applicants would need to turn in additional documents as maybe requested by our office. For example, all students who received untaxed military benefits or other untaxed income during past year are required to turn in an Leave and Earning Statement (LES) or complete the Untaxed Military Benefit Form. Students are also required to review their Student Aid Report (SAR) which is the same as their FAFSA results. If the SAR indicates that they are selected for verification, then they must complete an Olympic College Verification Form and submit the necessary supporting documents to the Financial Aid Office. What is the current processing timeframe for financial aid applications?
Due to the increasing number of applicants, it takes longer to complete a file for financial aid applicants. At present, based on the nature of your file, we estimate it will it take a minimum of 6 weeks to process a financial aid application from the date all documents are received i.e., file completion date. Your file completion date is the date all required documents are received. It does not imply that your financial aid has been awarded.
Students who met the priority deadline (MARCH 1, 2011):
March 1, 2011 was the financial aid priority deadline for the 2011-12 academic year. All files completed by the priority processing deadline will be given maximum consideration for 2011-2012 financial aid.
