Technical Design

The Technical Design program is designed to provide the student with the skills necessary to perform as an entry-level designer/draftsperson and Computer Aided Design (CAD) operator in today’s engineering and design firms around the world.

At the end of the program, successful students will be able to:

  • Use computer-aided design software to create technical drawings.
  • Use technical, human, and information resources to complete projects.
  • Effectively use oral, written and graphic communication skills.
  • Use computer technology to exchange information and develop technical drawings.
  • Use systematic, problem-solving approach for project development.
  • Use related interactive GIS computer software technology to meet projects.
  • Perform functions of graphical design required of entry-level technical designers.
