Integrated Multimedia
The Integrated Multimedia program is a broad-based view of what multimedia is; graphic arts, photography, journalism, theater, video, animation and music. We teach multimedia as a tool that everybody can use regardless of their discipline. Everyone needs to communicate and we have the most widely used, current software in business and graphic arts for people to utilize. Our lab imitates situations found in the workplace. We help our students build the working skills they need today and enhance their manner of communication so they can get better jobs and obtain more value for the employers they have right now.
At the end of the program, successful students will be able to:
- Identify and choose the appropriate multimedia application for projects.
- Compare and contrast computer platforms and programs.
- Recognize the interrelationships of computer hardware and software.
- Use creative processes such as mind mapping and brainstorming to initiate ideas.
- Create storyboards to clearly communicate a message.
- Search and interview for jobs associated with multi-media.
- Use a variety of media peripherals such as scanners, DVD drives, thumb drives, etc., to complete projects.
- Apply color theory and layout design when using illustrative software.
- Work effectively as a team member to accomplish projects.
