Instrumental Music

Olympic College Music Department

Did you know that the Olympic College Instrumental Music Program was one of the first community college jazz programs in the nation?  OC has earned national acclaim for its outstanding programs and leadership in jazz.

The instrumental program is growing again and will continue to make a name for itself throughout the area and beyond. Offered quarterly, there are a variety of groups in which students can participate, including both jazz and wind ensemble. These groups often travel and compete to garner support for our program and spread the OC music ethic. Often, nationally known performers stop in to hold clinics for students, giving them the opportunity to work one-on-one with top musicians.
Students who wish to learn more about the program or would like to audition for the Jazz Band and/or scholarships may contact Rick White, Instrumental Music Director at 475-7118 or rwhite@olympic.edu.
