CLASS DESCRIPTION
This four hour seminar will focus on children’s needs during their parent’s separation, custody issues and/or divorce. Parents will learn about the developmental stages of children, communication skills, the impact of divorce on children and positive parenting skills.
PRE-REQUISITE
This seminar is approved by the Kitsap County Superior Court and intended for parents involved in divorce, legal separation, or paternity actions. Upon completion, you will be given a Certificate of Completion to be filed with the Court. IMPORTANT NOTE TO STUDENTS
Please be aware that classes may be cancelled if minimum enrollment of 15 students per class session is NOT met. You will be notified at least one day in advance of cancellation and given a full refund or opportunity to transfer to a future class.

CLASS FEES
Pre-registration and payment is required to reserve a seat for the seminar. The seminars are filled on a first come, first serve basis. CHILDREN CANNOT ATTEND SEMINAR, NO CHILDCARE IS PROVIDED.

In order to receive a reduced class fee you must provide verification of income before registering for the class. Please download the following form Preregistrationform.docx or contact the ECE Department at 360-475-7359 to see if you qualify. Fill out completely, and fax with income verification documents (listed above) to (360) 475-6810, Attn: ECE Dept.
Once verified, we will fax back the registration form to you with the appropriate fee approved.
REGISTRATION & PAYMENT
IF PAYING FULL PRICE ($70.00), you may register by phone (360.394.2725) with a credit/debit card. Or you may go directly to the Olympic College Registration Office in person, located on the first floor of the New Humanities Building. You must complete an Olympic College Registration form and pay at this time. Be sure to note the Course and Item number of the class date you wish to register for.
IF RECEIVING A REDUCED CLASS FEE (under $70), you must take your signed and approved “Pre-registration” form (downloaded from the paragraph above) to the Registration office, (in person) on the first floor of the New Humanities Building. You must fill out an Olympic College registration form and pay at this time. Be sure to note the Course and Item number of the class date you wish to register for.
*We will not register parents in the same class unless both parents submit a written request.
NO PERSONAL CHECKS ACCEPTED. Payment by cash, money order, debit or credit only.
SECURITY
The security of all seminar participants is of great importance to Olympic College. Therefore, you will not be admitted to the seminar if you are carrying a weapon (per RCW 9.41.300) or if you are under the influence of drugs or alcohol. You will be asked to leave if you exhibit behavior that is disruptive or threatening to the participants and/or the facilitators.
