PHYSICAL THERAPIST ASSISTANT PREREQUISITE REQUIREMENTS

Math Requirement:

·All students must pass a college level Math course of at least MATH 099 or higher with a minimum passing grade of 2.0 or higher.

·Students who do not test at a Math proficiency level equivalent to MATH 099 should begin with the appropriate Math course listed below:

    oMATH 090A – Essential Mathematics – Prerequisite for MATH 090B

    oMATH 090B – Prealgebra – Prerequisite for MATH 094

    oMATH 094 – Elementary Algebra – Prerequisite for MATH 099

·All MATH 09* series courses are offered each quarter at Olympic College

·MATH 099 or higher is a prerequisite for both PHYS 110 and CHEM& 121, which are prerequisites for PTA program admission

Social Science Requirement:

·PSYC& 100 with a minimum passing grade of 2.0 or higher.

Humanties Requirement:

·ENGL 101 with a minimum passing grade of 2.0 or higher.

Natural Science Requirement:

·BIO& 175 and PHYS 110

                   OR

·BIO& 241/BIO& 242 and CHEM& 121
