Steps to Get Into the Nursing Program

2.Attend a SOAR Session (if new to OC)

3.Complete the Accuplacer Placement Exam

4.Attend an Nursing Information Session

5.See the Nursing Advisor when you are ready to enter Chemistry to create a plan

6.Submit a Course Review (if I completed science or nursing courses from another college or university)

7.Apply to the program while in the last prerequisite (prior to application deadline)

Apply to Olympic College

1.Complete the Application for Admissions form; visit Getting Started webpage for more information

2.Send an Official copy of all college transcripts to Registration and Records (R&R)

3.Complete the Request for Transcript Evaluation and submit to R&R.

4.Contact Testing Center, 360-475-7531 to take placement assessment in English, Math and Reading Comprehension.

5.Attend Student Orientation to Advising & Registration (SOAR) session (click to register)

6.Complete the transfer credit evaluation process. See instructions


Attend an Information Session

Application materials for our nursing programs are available by attending an information session only. Information Sessions are vital to being admitted to the program. By attending one, you will receive program information, an application packet to the program, and eligibility to schedule an appointment with our Nursing Advisor.

• Call Nursing Programs Office at 360-475-7748 or email nursing@olympic.edu to arrange to attend an Information session. Specifying which program ADN/RN, LPN/PN, TADN. (Must attend within the last 12 months prior to scheduling Advising Appointment)


Schedule an Advising Appointment with the Nursing Advisor

(Recommended prior to entrance into Chemistry 121)

•Call Nursing Programs office at 360-475-7748 or email nursing@olympic.edu to schedule an individual advising appointment with Nursing Advisor.

(Must have attend information session within last 12 months to be eligible to schedule Advising Appointment)


Have course review completed if I completed science or nursing courses from another college or university.

If you took your sciences, (inorganic and organic/bio-chemistry; anatomy and physiology I and II; microbiology) out of state or from The Evergreen State College, you will need to provide the following to the Nursing Programs Office on the Bremerton Campus College Service Center building, room 341 or via mail at Nursing Programs 1600 Chester Ave., Bremerton, WA 98337-1699. These documents must be submitted prior to the application deadline for the program you are applying to.

1. Syllabi with lab component clearly listed and Unofficial transcript showing the listed courses and grade received to the Nursing Programs Administrative Office.

  • Inorganic Chemistry
  • Organic/Biological Chemistry
  • Anatomy and Physiology I and II
  • Human Biology (PN only)
  • Microbiology

Students who took/taking the above courses from a Washington State college or university will not need a formal course review.

For students who took/taking the below courses at another college or university other than Olympic College, you will need to provide the syllabi and unofficial transcripts to the Nursing Programs office
