WORKSHOP GOALS
- Increase girls' interest in mathematics and science through positive hands-on experiences.
- Foster awareness of career opportunities for women in math and science related fields.
- Provide students an opportunity to meet women working in nontraditional careers in math and science related fields.

SEM (Science, Engineering and Mathematics) Information Night

LOCATION: Science & Technology Building Lobby
- Olympic College (OC) will host its third annual Science, Engineering and Mathematics (SEM) Information Night on October 18, 2011, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. This free informational open house is aimed at high school students, parents of high school students, and all those considering careers involving Science, Engineering or Mathematics. The event will be held in the Science and Technology Building lobby on OC’s Bremerton Campus, located at 1600 Chester Avenue, and is sponsored by OC’s Mathematics, Engineering, Sciences, and Health (MESH) Division. An Invitational Event for Kitsap 5th graders

TIMES: Tues.-Friday, 9 a.m. - 12 noon
LOCATION: Olympic College, Bremerton Campus, Science and Technology Building
- The intent of the celebration is to promote an appreciation of science among elementary school students, as well as to increase their enthusiasm for higher education.
- Students learn that science can be fun and exciting as they are led by Olympic College faculty and staff through exhibits, demonstrations, and hands-on projects.
