There are two options for preparation for this career at Olympic College The certificate Program is a 4 quarter, full-time program which begins every September and runs for a year. It requires a total of 61 credits. The program concludes with a supervised, unpaid externship in a medical office.
Prerequisites
To begin this program students need:
- Intermediate keyboarding skills (30 wpm in a 5-minute timing with 5 or fewer errors.)
- Minimum score of 43 in numerical skills on the ASSET test or successful completion of Math 90.
- Recommended minimum score 42 in writing skills on the ASSET test or successful completion of English courses.
