Automotive Technology Program Tool List
Students are required to provide the following tools for use in the lab activities of the Automotive Technology program. These tools are the basic hand tools needed to perform routine repair tasks. Additional tools are listed as recommended prior to internship. Tools should be of professional quality, and where specifications of supplied tools differ from what is printed the student should check with his or her instructor prior to purchase. "Special purpose" tools are generally provided as shop equipment by repair facilities. Students are responsible for the security, insurance, and maintenance of their tools. Designated storage areas for student toolboxes will be provided.
