The Classified Staff Development Committee

What is the CSDC?
The CSDC was developed to aid in the professional development of Classified Staff. The CSDC assists in sponsoring training, provides education and development reimbursement, supports networking and fellowship opportunities.
Training and Workshops
The CSDC provides educational opportunities throughout the year available to any classified or hourly staff member. See the CSDC Calendar for opportunities and dates. To attend a training, complete the Permission to Attend form.
Education Reimbursement
Qualifying classified staff may be reimbursed for education. The committee may authorize payment for tuition, fees, required books and other materials. Qualified classified staff may also be reimbursed for conferences, workshops, and seminars. See more information.
Events
The CSDC sponsors events annually such as the Classified Connection, an annual retreat for Classified Staff. If you are interested in helping plan the Connection contact the CSDC. CSDC also sponsors the annual Ice Cream Social in honor of part time staff, the Opening Days Potluck, and the Flu Shot Clinic.
The Helping Hand
The CSDC developed a handbook to help Classified Staff find their way around OC. Check it out.
Get Involved
The committee members are elected by the Olympic College classified staff and serve 1 (one) 2 year term. Submit your name to the WPEA if you are interested. You don’t have to be elected to be involved. In fact, you don’t even need to be Classified Staff. Any employee may attend CSDC meetings and assist the CSDC in providing professional development opportunities. The CSDC welcomes involvement. Please contact the CDSC if you are interested in serving in any capacity.
