Institutional Effectiveness
Institutional Effectiveness is the process of documenting efforts across the college. College departments evaluate their progress toward an outcome by selecting a specific effort for which they are responsible and implementing an objective evaluation that will give them valuable feedback on how well they are doing.
Institutional Effectiveness at Olympic College is captured by a five-column model. The five-column model is as assessment tool not a planning tool. It allows the user(s) to measure results of a particular outcome or objective and use the results to aid in further decision-making and improvement.
Institutional Effectiveness allows departments and units at Olympic College to:
- Validate and improve their work
- Share best practices and successes with their colleagues
- Be accountable for their efforts
