Annual Schedule
The Annual Schedule is developed using a Data Express download. The Data Express job extracts the quarterly class schedule from two years prior to allow for cyclical offerings. The download is sent to the Instructional Divisions or units for review and update. After Instructional Division release, the file is returned to Instructional Support Services for consolidation and publication in the View and on the OC website.
Quarterly Class Schedule (The View)
The Quarterly Class Schedule begins with the "construction file" in the Student Management System (SMS) which is a copy of the schedule from the same quarter of the previous year. Each division or unit makes changes in the construction file, updating offerings to current classes, instructors, rooms, times, days, etc. until the schedule is downloaded for publication.
From that time forward instructional divisions or units send all schedule changes to ISS on a Schedule Adjustment Form (SAF; link provided at right). The ISS Cyclical Work Calendar is distributed to all Instructional Services staff included in the schedule and catalog processes. This calendar is developed by stepping backward from publication and Instructional Policies Council (IPC) dates. The IPC calendar is coordinated with publication timelines and lists due dates for each action
