One $100 prize will be awarded at the Write in the Woods Conference to a registered participant for an unpublished poem.  

Submissions are limited to one per person, and must be received before 5pm on May 2nd.

Keynote Speaker: Debe Edden
Topic: "Playback as Oral Theatre"

Debe Edden is an artistic director and performer with The Heartsparkle Players, an organization started in 1991 that promotes Playback Theatre as a tool for community building, education, and social change.  Debe is a graduate of the School of Playback Theatre and has been a performer for 30 years.  The group performs throughout the Northwest, and recently presented a workshop at the International Playback Theatre Conference in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Check-in is from 8:30 am to 9 am. 

This day long conference is open to people of all writing skills and interests. New and experienced writers, explore your creativity and meet others at this energizing community gathering taught by
successful writers.  Choose 2 of 8 unique workshops presented by local authors, attend a keynote craft talk, and listen to readings.  Also included is a catered gourmet vegetarian lunch.
