Olympic College Library Catalog
Get access to the Haselwood Library (Bremerton) and the OC libraries in Poulsbo and Shelton.  The catalog indexes all 3 collections--over 60,000 items--including books, e-books, videos, and reserve materials.  Nursing books are purchased in electronic format whenever possible, through NetLibrary.  Links to e-books are found in each item's catalog record.   More information on getting access to e-books.

CINAHL Plus with Full Text
Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature. CINAHL provides full text for more than 640 nursing and allied health journals. CINAHL also includes 2 usefull series:  "Evidence-based Care Sheets" and "Quick Lessons" 

The Cochrane Library
An extensive collection of evidence-based review articles.

NLM Drug Information Portal
"Quick access to over 12,000 selected drugs."

Psychology and Behavioral Sciences Collection
Over 575 full-text titles covering topics such as emotional and behavioral characteristics, psychiatry & psychology, mental processes, anthropology, and observational and experimental methods.

PubMed
Use PubMed to search MEDLINE, the National Library of Medicine's database covering the fields of medicine and nursing. MEDLINE indexs over 4,000 journals.  Use this link to PubMed above to get access to the full-text journals purchased by OC.


Book & Article Ordering / Interlibrary Loan

During your research  you may end up searching many different library catalogs and databases. You might also come across interesting items in the bibliographies of books and articles. If these materials are not available at the OC Library or Kitsap Regional Library, we can initiate an interlibrary loan request and we will get the items for you. Interlibrary loans usually arrive in 5-10 days.
