This annotated bibliography is a sample selection of demographic information resources found in the Olympic College Library catalog. Demographic information such as population of a particular country or city may also be found in encyclopedias. When searching the Library Catalog, some useful keywords for your subject might be:

Vertical File
The Vertical File (also known as the pamphlet file) is located at the North end of the basement in the Haselwood Library. Pamphlets are filed alphabetically by subject.
For example: the "Crime Statistics" folder contains the 1999 National Center for Policy Analysis' document entitled "Crime and Punishment in America ." Similarly, the "Statisticians" folder contains the United Nations' pamphlet entitled "Population and Vital Statistics Report." Overall, our vertical file offers a wealth of statistical information.
