Hate Crime: Racist Graffiti 4/18/2014:
Olympic College has just learned that a hate crime involving racist graffiti has been committed on the Bremerton campus. Olympic College’s Campus Safety Department has documented the crime and reported it to the Bremerton Police Department.
Olympic College has zero tolerance for Acts of Hate/Bias against members of the college community. Hate crimes are completely unacceptable, unlawful, and will not be tolerated at the College. Any individual or organization found responsible for a violation of this standard is subject to discipline for violation of college policy and will be referred for criminal prosecution. The safety and well-being of our students, employees and community is the College's foremost concern. The College’s Policy on Hate Crimes can be found at Acts of Hate/Bias Policy, OCP 200-22.
Bicycle Wheel Theft 4/15/2014:
On 4/15/2014 a member of our Olympic College community reported the theft of both of their bicycle wheels. The frame of the bicycle was locked in a fixed bike rack. The wheels were not locked. The suspect was seen on video removing both wheels and walking off campus. Still and video footage have been provided to the Bremerton Police Department to aid in their investigation. Please ensure you use fixed bike racks and secure your bicycle in a manner that easily removed components, such as wheels, are securely locked.
Alleged Sexual Assault: 03/06/2014
Olympic College has just been made aware of an alleged sexual assault on the Bremerton campus during the month of February. Olympic College and the Bremerton Police Department are currently investigating this case.
Update: Olympic College was informed that the Bremerton Police Department and Prosecutors Office have completed their investigation and closed this case.

A winter storm watch has been placed for the Puget Sound/Hood Canal area from 12/19 @10am through 12/20 @ 4am. Should the weather cause any need for change in normal operating status, updates will be made through our Alert and Warning system as well as through the local media outlets to keep everyone informed.
